Terms & Conditions of Use
1. Who we are and how to contact us
Angiochef ("Angiochef", the "App", the "Service", "we", "us" or "our") is operated by Rubén Antonio López García, an individual sole trader (empresario individual / autónomo) established in Spain, at C/ Lepant 270, Bajos, 08013 Barcelona, Spain. You can contact us at support@angiochef.com.
2. These Terms, and your acceptance of them
These Terms & Conditions (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Angiochef governing your access to and use of the App and all related features and content. They incorporate by reference our Privacy Policy.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and the Privacy Policy. When we publish a new version, the App may ask you to accept it again before you can continue. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
3. Important health, nutrition & medical disclaimer — please read
This section is essential. It explains what Angiochef is — and, just as importantly, what it is not.
3.1 Informational and educational only — not medical or dietary advice
Angiochef is a general wellness, educational and recipe tool. All content in the App — including recipes, ingredient information, nutrition figures, phytonutrient and "compound" information, the Angio Score, synergy information, meal plans, AI-generated suggestions and any other material — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, nutritional, dietary, pharmaceutical, or other professional advice, diagnosis or treatment, and must not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional.
3.2 No professional relationship
Angiochef is not a doctor, dietitian, nutritionist, pharmacist or other healthcare provider, and is not a healthcare or medical organisation. Using the App, or contacting us, does not create any doctor–patient, dietitian–patient or other professional relationship.
3.3 Always consult a qualified professional — do not self-treat
Always seek the advice of your physician or another qualified health professional with any questions about a medical condition, your diet, your medication, or before beginning, changing or stopping any diet, nutrition, supplement, fitness or treatment programme. Never disregard professional medical advice, and never delay seeking it, because of something you read or saw in the App. Do not start, stop, delay, avoid or change any food, supplement, medication or treatment based on information in the App.
3.4 Nutrition figures and scores are estimates
Nutritional values, ingredient data, the Angio Score and all related figures are estimates only. They are computed from general reference data and can vary significantly with brand, product, portion size, freshness, substitutions and preparation. We do not warrant or guarantee that any such information is accurate, complete, current or suitable for you, and you are responsible for verifying any information that matters to your health.
3.5 General information about food–compound effects
The App may show general, educational information about how certain foods or ingredient pairings ("synergies" or "metabolic boosters") can increase how much of certain compounds the body absorbs, and may note that this can affect how some medicines work. Any such information is the same for every user and is based on general scientific sources. It is not personalised to you, your medicines, your condition or your treatment; the App does not assess, screen or monitor your individual situation, and it is not a food–medication interaction checker or medical advice.
If you take any medication or are undergoing any treatment, talk to your doctor or pharmacist before relying on this information or making any change to your diet. Only your treating clinician can assess what is appropriate for you.
3.6 People who should take special care
You should consult your physician or qualified health professional before using the App and before acting on any information in it if you: are undergoing any medical treatment (including chemotherapy, radiotherapy, immunotherapy or any drug regimen); take prescription medication (especially medicines with known food interactions, such as anticoagulants, MAO inhibitors or immunosuppressants); are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding; or have any chronic condition or follow a medically supervised or therapeutic diet.
3.7 No disease claims
Angiochef and its content are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or medical condition, and are not intended for the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment or prevention of disease. Statements about foods, nutrients or compounds describe general nutritional or structure/function properties only and have not been evaluated by any medicines or food-safety authority.
3.8 Allergens and food safety
We do not guarantee allergen, ingredient or food-safety information. You are solely responsible for knowing about your own allergies and intolerances, for verifying ingredients and products before consuming them, and for following safe food-handling and any food-safety notices issued by your local authorities.
3.9 Emergencies
The App is not for emergencies. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency services immediately or go to the nearest emergency department.
3.10 Assumption of risk
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you use the App's health, nutrition and recipe features at your own risk, and you assume full responsibility for your dietary and health decisions. This §3 survives termination of these Terms.
4. Eligibility — you must be 18 or older
The App is intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account or provide personal data. By using the App you represent that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If we learn that a user is under 18, we may suspend or delete the account.
5. Your account and guest use
You can sign in using a third-party identity provider (Apple or Google). You are responsible for keeping access to your account and device secure, and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may also be able to explore the App as a guest; guest sessions are temporary and are not saved.
6. The Service, and changes to it
Angiochef lets you discover and personalise recipes, plan and log meals, view nutrition and compound information and scores, and (for Pro subscribers) access additional features. We are continually improving the App and may add, change, suspend or remove features at any time. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical, but we are not obliged to maintain any particular feature.
7. Angiochef Pro — subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Some features require a paid subscription ("Angiochef Pro"). Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, which act as the merchant of record or billing agent for your purchase, depending on your country. Your purchase is therefore also subject to the applicable app store's terms. We use a third-party provider (RevenueCat) only to manage and verify your subscription status; the payment itself is processed solely by Apple or Google as merchant of record or billing agent, and we never receive or store your full payment-card details.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price until you cancel. You will be charged through your app store account at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
- Price and terms. The price, billing period and what is included are shown on the purchase screen before you buy. We may change prices for future periods; where required, the app store will notify you and ask for your consent before a changed price applies.
- Free trials. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. The terms of the trial are shown before you start it.
- How to cancel. You can cancel at any time in your Apple or Google account subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then. Uninstalling the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds. Payments are processed by the app stores and are generally non-refundable except as required by law or by the app store's own policies. Refund requests must usually be made to Apple or Google.
EU/EEA right of withdrawal. As a consumer in the EU/EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Because Pro gives you immediate access to digital content and services, by starting to use Pro during the withdrawal period you expressly request immediate performance and acknowledge that you will lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully supplied. Nothing here removes any non-waivable statutory right you have as a consumer.
8. Your content, custom ingredients and recipe forks
The App lets you create content — for example custom ingredients, personalised ("forked") recipes, notes and preferences ("Your Content"). You keep ownership of Your Content. To operate the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, translate, adapt (for example, to recompute nutrition or generate translations), and display Your Content, solely to provide and improve the Service to you and, where you choose to make content public or share it, to other users. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for (a) copies retained in routine backups for a limited period and (b) content others have already saved or that we must keep to comply with the law.
You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to submit it, that it is lawful, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights. Do not submit other people's personal or health data, confidential information, or unlawful, harmful or misleading content. We may review, refuse, or remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
9. AI-generated features
Some features use third-party artificial-intelligence services (currently Google's Gemini models) to generate or transform content — for example ingredient search, recipe personalisation, health summaries of your forks, and image recognition. To provide these features, the relevant input you submit (such as a search term, ingredient name, recipe notes, or a photo) is sent to the AI provider for processing, as described in our Privacy Policy.
AI output can be wrong. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or unsuitable, and is provided for general information only. You must not rely on it for any health, medical, dietary or safety decision (see §3). You are responsible for the content you submit to AI features; do not submit unlawful content, other people's personal data, or attempts to misuse or manipulate the AI.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the App for any unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purpose; circumvent or attempt to circumvent security, authentication, rate limits or usage limits; access the App by automated means, scrape, or harvest data except as expressly permitted; reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract source code or our underlying data (except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law); interfere with or disrupt the App or its infrastructure; submit false, misleading, harmful or infringing content, or content that promotes unsafe health practices; or impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation. We may suspend or terminate access for breach.
11. Intellectual property
The App and all of its content other than Your Content — including the software, design, text, graphics, the ingredient and recipe catalogue, compound and nutrition data, the Angio Score and related methodologies, and the "Angiochef" name and logo — are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not use our trademarks without our prior written permission.
Third-party product and company names mentioned in the App — including appliance brands referenced in alternative preparation modes, such as Thermomix® (a registered trademark of Vorwerk & Co. KG) and Xiaomi™ (a trademark of Xiaomi Inc.) — are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are used for identification and compatibility purposes only, and their use does not imply any affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from those owners.
12. Third-party services and app stores
The App relies on third-party services (including Apple, Google, our hosting and database provider, our AI provider, and our subscription-management provider). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Third-party links or content in the App are provided for convenience and are not endorsements.
Apple and Google. These Terms are between you and Angiochef only, and not with Apple or Google. The app stores are not responsible for the App or its content, and have no obligation to provide support or maintenance. To the extent you obtained the App from Apple's App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you; you also agree to comply with the applicable Apple Media Services / Licensed Application End User Licence terms. If you obtained the App from Google Play, your use of the App and any purchases are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play's payment terms.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process and why, including health-related data and the third parties involved. By using the App you acknowledge that processing. Where we rely on your consent (for example, to process health data or for analytics), you can withdraw it as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and without limiting §3, the App and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any content (including nutrition data, scores or AI output) is accurate or reliable. This section does not exclude or limit any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable consumer law.
15. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. In particular, we do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the mandatory law of your country of residence (including, for EU consumers, mandatory consumer-protection rules, and for Australian consumers, guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law).
Subject to the paragraph above, and to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or opportunity, or for any health outcome or decision you make in reliance on the App; and (b) our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the App and these Terms is limited to the total amount you paid us (or that we received for your subscription) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
For consumers, these limits apply only to the extent permitted by Spanish/EU consumer law; some limitations above may not apply to you.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, liabilities, damages and reasonable expenses arising out of your misuse of the App, Your Content, or your breach of these Terms or of any law or third-party right. This clause does not apply to the extent a loss is caused by us, and it does not limit your non-waivable consumer rights.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time (in-app account settings). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if necessary to protect users or the Service. On termination, your right to use the App ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including §3, §11, §14, §15, §16, §18 and §19) will survive. Account and data deletion are described in the Privacy Policy.
18. Governing law, jurisdiction and EU consumer rights
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by Spanish law. Subject to §19 (US residents) and to mandatory consumer rules, the competent courts of Spain will have jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU/EEA, you benefit from the mandatory protections of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. We are willing to seek to resolve disputes informally first — please contact us at support@angiochef.com.
If you are a consumer resident in Spain, in accordance with Law 7/2017 we are not adhered to any consumer alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity. If we are unable to resolve your complaint informally, we will inform you of a competent accredited consumer ADR entity to which your complaint could be submitted (for example, the Sistema Arbitral de Consumo) and whether we agree to submit to its procedure.
19. Dispute resolution for United States residents (arbitration and class-action waiver)
This §19 applies only if you are a resident of the United States. It does not apply to consumers resident in the EU/EEA, the UK, or elsewhere, and nothing in it limits the mandatory rights described in §18.
Please read this section carefully — it affects how disputes are resolved and limits your right to go to court.
- Informal resolution first. Before starting arbitration, you agree to contact us at support@angiochef.com and allow 60 days to resolve the dispute informally.
- Binding individual arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, you and Angiochef agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
- Class-action waiver. You and Angiochef agree that claims may be brought only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective, or representative proceeding.
- 30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing support@angiochef.com with the subject line "ARBITRATION OPT-OUT" and your account email. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
- One-year limitation. Any claim must be filed within one year after it arises, to the extent permitted by law.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the version and effective date and, for material changes, ask you to review and accept the new Terms in the App before you continue. Where the law requires fresh consent (for example for certain consumer or data-protection matters), we will obtain it. If you do not accept an updated version, you should stop using the App.
21. Miscellaneous
These Terms (with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and us about the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them to a successor (for example in connection with a reorganisation or sale of the business), without reducing your rights. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These Terms are provided in English and Spanish; if there is any conflict, and to the extent permitted by law, the Spanish version prevails, without affecting your non-waivable rights as a consumer. We may give you notices in the App or by the contact details associated with your account.
